Growing up is difficult!

Words that will help your child

I remember reading M. Scott Peck, MD book for the first time: “The Road Less Traveled”. The first sentence in the book is “Life is Difficult”. In my own mind, I should have been told that when I was about 9 and then I think I would have been more prepared for life. Maybe, knowing some words and how important those individual words are in a teenager’s life and on into adulthood. In today’s world, there are so many ways to make bad decisions so this Blog parent that are developing and this video game for children that are developing will give tools to help in the development of both YOU the parent and YOUR child. It is about:

Accomplishment

Empowerment

Inspiring

Positive

Being pro-active

Decision-making skills

Goal-setting

Love of reading

Problem Solving

Motivation

Self-Confidence

Respect

These are just a few of the wonderful words we each need as we develope-both parent and child.

Words that will help your child

To keep developing one needs to keep learning new things and about new and challenging different things, more challenging things in life- something different.

Words that will help your child

There are so many negative and serious personal things that can sideline a teenager anymore:

Smoking

Drugs

Alcohol

Baby having a baby

STDs

Partying

Life is not about the “fun” things like those listed above. Life is about having a plan and aiming for that plan and moving forward.

It was less than 100 years ago most of our families were working, on the farms or in a city, 15 hours a day to either put food on the table, or to save enough money to buy a house, or have enough for a child to go to college.

Today, there are few people who actually own their own homes, or have no college debt. Getting out of debt is one of the most important things a person can do in today’s environment.

Purpose of Life is Life of Purpose.
