I get these images off the internet for free. But, this young man looks like he belongs with this post on trama. Maybe, he never had any childhood trauma but by his body language, it looks like he has the anxiety of some type. What went on in your childhood to cause you anxiety as an adult? Could there be too much trauma in childhood that could cause anxiety in adulthood? I look at my three children and have even asked my daughter about her childhood. I never let them know about finances or any relationship with their alcoholic father. And, her response was just what I wanted to hear. She had no idea what was going on with anything negative in our home, finances or relationships. That was my goal for my children was to let them be children until they started making decisions. And, she has no anxiety for all the family went through with alcoholism.

One of my favorite Psychiatrists, Dr. Gabor Mate, talks about his mother when he was 1 year old. Dr. Mate is Jewish and was in eastern European country Hilter was trying to take over. Dr. Mate’s mother gave him to a stranger when he was 1 year old for a while. So he would not be taken to the gas chambers in Germany. That has affected him a lifetime. He is no about 70 or so and still has abandonment issues. Life is difficult, as my favorite book: “The Road Less Traveled” talks about. For myself, I have found that forgiveness trumps everything. Forgiving myself and everyone else. It has made it easy for me to move on. I also have read Dr. Joseph Murphy books on the subconscious mind which has helped. Lots of good help out there to stay positive and move on from trauma.
