Anyone can be Successful. But it takes commitment and a good work ethic. Going into Kindergarten is traumatic for a child who has always been at home. And going into the Middle is another traumatic step in development. But, you have the opportunity to help these children at all these stages to be successful. That is your job. I had a lot of stress as my children were growing up. I worked on a daily basis not to let that show and stress the children out. The children today, in their middle ages, can say they never knew stress growing up. I always wanted them to focus on their daily routine and their school work. Apparently, I was successful in that area.
Anyone can be Successful.
Success can start when a child is 2 years old. How proud you are they are potting trained. That is what success looks like. It encourages the child to feel confident. It empowers the child to know they can do things now. Or when they ride their tricycle or the first time they pedal a two-wheel bicycle. What a success. As adults, we always like to be given incentives at work or in our daily lives. YOUR child is no different and like incentives and rewards.
If you want your children to be successful then start when they are born. That is when this job really begins. Do not wait until they are in Middle School. It starts way before that. Think every day and make that to-do list, use positive words, learn to sit, and read while your children are doing homework. Reading a non-fiction book every month is a powerful role model sign that your children will be successful. Remember, you are the parent, not the friend. And that you have to talk with your child so they understand what is coming up in their little lives.
How is YOUR child Developing? Do they know the Words that will help them?
