What is YOUR code to live by? What is YOUR child’s Code to Live By? It is always important from birth to death to have a Code to Live by. Otherwise, one can be misleading and manipulated to negative ways of life. Standing strong in your code is important. And it helps to know that code by writing it down and keeping it on a mirror or refrigerator. But, what would be good code to live by: not bullying anyone, not making fun of anyone, using positive and thoughtful words. It is easier to have a code and live by it than be manipulative or manipulated.
It should start when one is a baby and become normal as a child enters Kindergarten. Having a smile on your face is a code to live by, instead of looking grumpy or sad all the time. Thinking good thoughts and being mindful of those thoughts.
Having a code will make you strong and courageous. It gives you a positive outlook every day that you connect with it. There are so many outside and environmental influences in our lives today that to stay balanced one should have a Code.
If you go to church there is probably a code or rules within their doctrine. But, if you are like lots of people and do not have a church home then having a Code for your home is a fantastic way to be that spiritual being we all are. Each child and parent needs to have a Code. It will keep you grounded and being that person that has goals and is productive and positive. Sometimes I do believe that parents do not always talk about things but believe that their being a good role model is enough. And it is not enough, words have to be spoken about the Code.
