Children have to have a childhood that is free from adult stuff. It comes early enough for a child sometimes. But, if you can possibly keep your child in childhood that is great. Why do you think that there have been so many great motivational speakers in the last 100 years for adults? Because we live in man-made reality it gives adults pause that trying to be themselves is hard when this reality has been going for say probably close to 3,000 years. It would be different if everything invented was for each person to choose what they want. But, it is not and only made so the adult wants this or that and buying lots of stuff. A child only needs a few outfits for one to two weeks. They do not need dozens of outfits and wall to wall toys. When is enough? Of course, some children have 50 outfits while another child has maybe 2 for school. I believe that uniforms are best in any school district but the School Board decides that.
Parent, keep private YOUR stuff!
The main point here is for YOU, the parent, not to talk to your child about relationships, finances, or any problems you have. Dr. Gabor Mate says that adult anxiety is from childhood trauma. And we always have some trauma ion our childhood. My dog died or my grandparents died and these are pretty much normal childhood traumas. But, I have a friend whose mother beat her every day for little things that children do. My trauma does not compare to hers. Yet, she went into the Peace Core and got a Ph.D. But, the trauma she had in her childhood followed her into her adulthood in the form of being like a whipped dog and never really using that Ph.D. to get to the higher level of her profession.
