First Things First is a book written by, my belief, the great Stephen R. Covey. Also, he wrote The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Read all of his books if you can, they will only enrich your life in the long run. But, I will take some of his thoughts from his book and YOU need to elevate yourself for further development.
I am going to tell my sister’s end of life story here so maybe YOU will see that Every day counts. And, what you do on that day counts. She had cancer and called me and said the Doctor told her she had 2 weeks to live. How very sad for her. So, she said to me, “I regret not doing more with my life, I know I could have”. Years ago she decided she did not want to work and got Social Security Disability and lived on that in San Diego for about 25 years. I tried to motivate and empower her from my home in Texas but she would not budge. She did not want to do any more than she had to every day. She watched TV and lived in her little apartment and did what she was told by the people at Social Security Disability and their guidelines. There is a life lesson in that story and probably many people think that in the end but not many would verbalize it.
First Things First and More
YOU have to build on YOU every day and make it benefit YOU and your family. Keep learning and learning new things every day.
YOU cannot put your life on automatic and believe everything will be ok. It takes active participation on a daily basis. Life is not easy for most of us as we have our trauma and sadness. But, mostly we want to have joy and harmony and be productive
