The only thing stopping YOUR child from reaching their dreams is YOUR child. Each of us is only in control of one human being, and that is US. That is a good life lesson because I have had friends that worry about everyone else in their family but themselves. I knew one person, years ago, that took care of everyone else in his family but himself. He was young and died young before his daughters got out of middle school. Never ever can any of us control how others will be, but by taking care of ourself first only then can we take care of others.
Our comfort zone is a cushion and it is comfortable. It offers no challenge. Our mind is such that we need to challenge ourselves because that is the way we grow and develop into that adult. I was never good at math but when I was 65 I took an Algebra class and I did well and my teacher told me I was a good student. So I am a little late to the party there but I made it through and it helped in my development at that point.
Comfort Zone for YOUR Child. YOU can change your comfort zone. By changing the way you talk to yourself: I am. Remember, from the previous blog about I am, belief and becoming. You can also visualize the way you want your life to be, or the next school year to be. Be more friendly, join more groups, work harder on homework. There is always something where you can up the ante. And changing your own behavior is a wonderful experience, be kinder, and have your tone of voice be nice and quiet. YOU know when you are in your comfort zone, get out of it and move on to a higher place or better grades.
