Learning and keep learning is the best way for success and knowing your purpose in life. The more you learn the more you can accomplish. And the more you see that the more you will want to learn.
The following are some questions about being proactive or being reactive.
I will try or I will do it.
That is just the way I am or I can do better than that.
There is nothing I can do or let’s look at all our options.
I have to or I choose to.
I cannot or There has got to be away.
which one are you or your child?
Draw a picture of where you want to be in 5 years. Will your child be as mature as they should be? Or are you an enabler that takes away that child’s responsibility. They will not develop if you make excuses for them all the time.
Proactive children are not easily offended and take responsibility for their choices and decisions.
They think before they speak and bounce back when something bad happens to them. And they always find ways to make IT happen. They need to focus on things they can do something about. And they do not need to worry about things they can not.
Proactive or Reactive – the Choice is YOURS.
YOU can only control you and YOUR child can only control them. Of course, there are terrible life situations that may happen in life. But for the most part, most things can be overcome with positive thinking and doing positive things. I am not talking about terrible traumatic things here, just the little life and daily things should never be too overwhelming for anyone.
Know what is just daily trauma events and terrible traumatic events. And certainly, do not cause drama or chaos in any part of your child’s life. No talk about your personal life or finances or other people.
Proactive or Reactive – the Choice is YOURS.
