Putting in the Time for YOUR Child.
It is hard knowing how to balance being a parent and having the child grow up too soon. In the environment of today’s youth is such that the better prepared a child is the better they can cope with the outside world. They need to know that they have to be prepared for adulthood and have expectations for themselves. So putting in the time is a very appro pro because they actually have to do that. And we all have to do that. Putting in the time with all relationships and everything in our personal and professional lives.
Even though we do not all have equal talent, education, or support we do all have the same amount of time. How we spend that time makes the greatest difference in the quality of someone’s life. I can only say from the research that anyone only needs at the most 2 hours a day on TV or electronic devices. Unless that is your job. I spend a great deal of time writing blogs to help others. I love researching and learning and know it helps others as they read the blogs.
Do not forget Bear Bryant’s saying, “It is not the will to win that matters-everyone has that. It is the will to prepare to win that matters.” Yes, it is and anyone who wants to win has to prepare. YOUR child needs to prepare for every year in school and know what is expected of them. Need to have a schedule and follow that schedule on a daily basis.
There is not anyone who has not put in the time: the artist, the athlete, the writer, the Doctor, or any professional. So the best thing YOU can do for YOUR child is to see they know they have to put in their time. And you need to encourage and be supportive of that.
