Teaching your child how to get around by themselves.
Walking along a railroad track in today’s environment is not being safe and secure.
Can your child get around by themselves? And be safe and secure in their surroundings?
Lessons learned is one of the major statements in a person’s life. If your 5 or if your 50, lessons learned is at the top of the pyramid of life’s skills and knowledge. No one knows what they do not know. Wanting to know what we do not know is being a learner and wanting to develop to the next level. That is why one of the first things a child needs that will build confidence early on is how to get from point A to B, safely and securely. Always help your child know they can get around by themselves.
Living in a big city is different than living in a small town. But, wherever the child lives they need to know how to get around their community. Your child needs to master how to be aware of their surroundings for their own safety.
Your child getting around by themselves builds confidence. A child feels pride in being able knowing how to get to and from their school. Also, how to get to their community center or church is important.
Being able to get around by themselves is:
Helps in their Code to live by
Part of their Tool Box
Gives them confidence
Helps in moving from dependent on YOU to be independent
Feeling pride
These are just a few of the things that knowing one’s surrounding and being safe and secure can do.
Because YOU are raising an independent child it is always best to be proactive.
Beginning to become an independent person
This is a difficult time period for both YOU the parent and YOUR child. It can be the most rewarding time in a person’s life. Or it can be difficult and trying.
